Background:
Patrick Calhoun grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Greensboro College for undergraduate work where he received a B.S. in Technical Theatre. He is pursuing his M.F.A. in Sound Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as he works in professional sound technician positions in areas throughout the country.
Outside of work Patrick enjoys traveling, listening to music, writing poetry, and painting in acrylic. He is an outdoor enthusiast and loves camping, hiking, and rock climbing.

Sound Designer - Composer - Sound Enginer
Patrick is a Washington DC based Sound Designer having worked with local companies including Folger Theatre, Center Stage, Theatre J, The Hub Theatre, Roundhouse Theatre, Kennedy Center, Anacostia Playhouse, No Rules Theatre Company, The National Gallery of Art, Dance Exchange, and others.
For the 2012 - 2013 season he receivid the Kennedy Center's Kenan Fellowship for the Arts in Sound Design. Patrick works as a Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, and Composer, spending the summer season as th Audio Supervisor for Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA. Additionally, he has worked with Philadelphia Theatre Company, Triad Stage, Utah Shakespeare Festival, The Utah Festival Opera, Theatre West Virginia, JHE Production Group, among others.
In fall of 2010 Patrick taught at Greensboro College (Greensboro, NC) as Professor in Sound Design and designed as guest artist.
